She is an artist and researcher in natural sciences. Her artistic practice spans (self-)publishing, writing, photography, and video. Her works trace how intimacies and relations are affected by frictions in politics and technologies. She observes the interplay of materials, tools, artifacts and latent histories of scientific and public spaces. Oscillating between scientific and artistic thought, she is interested in the poetics of existing structures.
Her scientific research is experimental, on energy devices, mainly on new generation solar cells and materials. Beyond this, she is interested in approaching her own scientific research through historical and future impacts, narratives, and the powers that shape them.
Her recent artistic works include Car Toys, Walking in a City: a zine exploring artifacts, the relation between toys seen inside cars and the political atmosphere of a city, and the tensions between them; Missing Red, a video work that rethinks time, movement and presences in unexpected paths and contrasting colours of the scientific experiment overlaid by the flux of the sea; and Text and Image, working title for an ongoing series thinking image and text together around note taking, new ways of critical distance, scientific symbols, geographies and structures of childhood and friendship.
Her work has been shown primarily in artist-run spaces, as well as at Art Laboratory Berlin and daad Gallery, among other venues. She was recently a postdoctoral researcher at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin in physics and chemistry departments.
